The most common first step in adding an Iteration is uploading a massing, see:
There are six parameters that can be adjusted to create unique iterations in the Inputs Panel
Material: Select the structural material system, currently steel and concrete are supported.
Program sets the general slab loading, choose between (Office, Residential, and others)
Facade system selection also affects the load case and is bases on the surface area of the model.
Bay Spacing in X and Y is based on a global coordinate system, rotate your model accordingly
Floor Heights can be uniformly set with the slider or multiple values can be added by clicking the list icons. If a list is provided, the pattern will be followed from the ground up and repeat the last value until the full building height is reached.
When the iteration parameters are set click the Iterate button.
In addition to getting metrics on your current iteration in the Results panel you can also
Set Tags allows you to assign arbitrary text tags to an iteration, or choose from existing tags.
Rating iterations can be done though the star system at the top of results
The Results panel also provides information about where a particular iteration lands relative to the other iterations in the Project including a badge indicating whether the results are reasonable given the parameters provided.
These results include an attribute breakdown with a marker the bar showing its relative location in a color bar representing all iterations.
These can be further expanded to see the material and system breakdown.
Results also provide Massing Complexity Analysis which provides experimental metrics for beginning to indicate aspects of the geometry which may contribute to structural complexity.
At the bottom of Results the Visualization Presets let you select color the geometry according to the selected parameter, including Use, Section Type, and Floor Area.
There several other ways to visualize Results
In addition to the Results Visualization Presets, the Color By Attribute panel lets you type an attribute name and will list possible attributes to visualize.
You can also select alternate gradients for attribute coloring from the Legend colors dropdown.
Clicking on any element, Beam, Slab, Column will bring up the object properties in the side panel.
You can right click on any of these properties and color the model by this property.
You can make adjustments to the 3d model visualization using the View buttons
Crop lets you set either an XYZ plane or box for cropping the 3d model in the viewport
View Mode switches between perspective and parallel cameras
Zoom Extents will recenter the model and fit it in the current view.
You can use the Layer button to change the transparency or hide / show the mass or structural systems.
The Visualizations panel lets you specify limited settings for the environment including lighting and background colors.
