Launch Nuada.CFD

Launch Nuada.CFD for the first time

After successfully installing Nuada.CFD, restart Rhino and type NuadaCFD in the Command Line. This will launch the app within the Rhino environment and should prompt you with a welcome screen as shown below here.

If this is your first time opening the app, you can sign up via the link in the following window, which will send an email to our sales team to get in touch and get you signed up with an account. They will then also provide you with an API-key which can be filled in this same window.

API key

For access to the SimScale platform you will need an API-key. This key is personal and it is the direct link to your account on SimScale.

If this is the first time you are using the app you will see a screen after logging in that prompts you to fill in the API-key. You can generate your own API key on your SimScale admin dashboard. Ensure you have the correct access levels assigned to your account. If you are unsure about this, please reach out to your sales account at SimScale.

The API URL is filled in by default as https://www.simscale.com/api/. You can just leave it as is.

Finally, simply fill in the API-key and URL in the fields and continue through the app.

In the unlikely event that you have to reset the API-key, your personal key is stored in the User Environment Variables in your Windows Settings. You can edit it directly there, or delete the key-value pair and submit your updated API-key through the app.

Projects Home

All good to go! After logging in, you will land on the Projects Home page. All your projects will be presented here as individual tiles. You can go into a project to visualise, or launch a new project.

More info on the Projects Home page can be found here, or continue to the next page, where we will show you how to set up a new simulation project! We hope you are as excited as we are! 😄
